TEAMGROUP debuted their first PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD for AMD’s X570 platform, called CARDEA ZERO Z440. It is equipped with the Phsion PS5019-E16 memory controller, just like all other PCIe 4.0 drives at the moment.
The CARDEA ZERO Z440 uses a PCIe 4.0×4 interface. It is advertised to reach sequential read/write speeds at 5000 MB/s and 4400 MB/s respectively. Random performance is great too, at 750,000 IOPS. There are only two storage capacities, 1 TB and 2 TB. The SSD is rated to last for 1.7 million hours (MTBF), with endurance of over 1800 TBW and 3600 TBW. A 5-year warranty comes as standard.
To cool the component of the drive, Team Group chooses to install a graphene copper foil cooling module. It is only 1 mm thick and should fit through most motherboards without any issues.
The CARDEA ZERO Z440 will be on sale very soon. It is priced at $249 USD (MSRP) for the 1 TB model, and $499 USD (MSRP) for 2 TB.
