Team Group today has announced a couple of new solid-state drives, including a NVMe SSD for its T-FORCE gaming lineup, called CARDEA II. It is the second generation of the CARDEA SSD series with much faster performance.
The CARDEA II uses the latest NVMe 1.3 protocol, and a PCIe 3.0×4 interface for data transfer. The maximum sequential read/write speeds of 3400 MB/s and 3000 MB/s can be achieved by the SSD. Random IOPS sits at 180,000 for read and 160,000 for write. Three capacities are available from 256 GB to 1 TB.
A patented cooling module/heatsink is installed on top of the SSD to reduce the temperature from 10°C to 30°C at load, according to Team Group. The CARDEA II SSD is provided with a 3-year warranty with rated MTBF of about 2 million hours. They have endurance of 380 TBW to 1665 TBW, depending on its capacity.
Prices and availability have not been announced yet.
