Along with the T-FORCE CARDEA II SSD, Team Group also releases new PD400 portable SSD, which is inside a compact, ocean blue enclosure.
The PD400 SSD weighs in at around 100 grams. The outer aluminium casing provides decent resistances over both water, dust, shock and pressure. It has a Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP66.
The SSD uses a USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, which has a theoretical bandwidth of 5 Gbps or 625 MB/s. It has rated sequential read/write speeds of 430 MB/s and 420 MB/s respectively, which should be far more responsive than traditional mechanical external hard drives. There are three different capacities to choose, including 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB.
Prices and availability have not been announced yet.
