Along with the Mac Pro, Apple also announces the new Pro Display XDR during the WWDC 2019 event. This will be the first Apple-branded display after they discontinued the 27-inch Thunderbolt Cinema display in 2016. Though, Apple partnered with LG to make the existing UltraFine 4K and 5K displays.
The Pro Display XDR has a 32-inch 6K LCD display with a resolution of 6016×3384, which supports wide DCI-P3 color gamuts and 10-bit color. The display has an average brightness at 1000 nits, and can peak at up to 1600 nits. Combined with full array local dimming, it has a impressive 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which is certainly helpful for consuming or editing HDR content.
Apple also designs a Pro stand, that offers the display both tilt and height adjustments. The Pro Display XDR can also use other VESA-compatible stands or mounts.
The Pro Display XDR is priced at $4999 USD (MSRP) without including the stand. The Pro stand will cost you another $999 USD.
