Silicon Power has recently released a new portable SSD, named Bolt B75 Pro. The drive aims to have an elegant exterior design, while providing excellent practicality for users.
The Bolt B75 Pro features a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface via a Type-C port on the side. Although the theoretical bandwidth of the interface is at 10 Gbps (~1250 MB/s), the drive will only reach maximum read and write speeds at 520 MB/s and 420 MB/s respectively. Four different capacities are available, starting from 256 GB up to 2 TB.
The light-weight external aluminum casing is said to be both shock-proof and scratch-proof. Combined with the omission of moving parts for the internal SSD, the Bolt B75 Pro should be rather durable against accidental drops and scratches.
Prices and availability are not announced officially by Silicon Power. On Amazon, the 512 GB Bolt B75 Pro is priced at $79.99 USD (MSRP), and the 1 TB model is at $159.99 USD (MSRP). They are said to be in stock on 28 May.
