Apacer has introduced a brand-new SSD today, named AS2280P4. It will be utilizing the NVMe 1.3 protocol and a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface, which will offer much faster performance over traditional hard drives.
The AS2280P4 is equipped with 3D TLC NAND flash to store all the data. There are two capacities to choose from, 240 GB and 480 GB. It can reach maximum sequential read/write speeds of 3200 MB/s and 2000 MB/s. However, the smaller model (240 GB)’s performance drops down significantly to only 1600 MB/s for read and 1000 MB/s for write. It will only comes with M.2 2280 form factor.
The SSD is rated to last for 1.5 million hours (MTBF) and will have a 3-year limited warranty. Currently, no pricing and availability information are provided.
