According to the Vice President of Razer, the company will be launching the successor of the Razer Phone as soon as early December 2018. We do not know much about what type of hardware will the Razer Phone 2 be using. Now, a new benchmark result has been spotted on Geekbench 4, hinting at the possible internals of the phone.

The first generation Razer Phone sports a 5.7-inch IGZO IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1440, which supports 120 Hz refresh rate. It is also equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and 8 GB of RAM.

Looking into the Geekbench result, the Razer Phone 2 gets a single-core score of 2026 and a multi-core score of 8234. This kind of performance seems to be aligned with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which most 2018’s flagship smartphones are currently using. The amount of RAM seems to remain the same at 8 GB.

The Razer Phone 2 was tested on Android 8.1, but we should expect it to release with Android 9.0 Pie in December. The hardware inside the phone may still change prior launch.
