After two years with the GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards, NVIDIA finally decides to release their next generation 20-series cards. In addition to the new “Turing” GPU micro-architecture, they are introducing the real-time ray-tracing technologies for better light reflection/refraction in games.

Today (20 August), NVIDIA has unveiled a total of three brand new cards at the event in Germany, including the RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070. All of them are based on the “Turing” GPU architecture, which NVIDIA claims to perform up to 6 times faster than Pascal. Instead of using the traditional blower design, the Founders Edition cards use open-air dual-fan design for cooling.

The RTX 2080 Ti will cost you $1199 USD (MSRP) for its 4352 CUDA cores and 11 GB of GDDR6 memory, running on a 352-bit bus. It has 21.4% more CUDA cores than the GTX 1080 Ti. The GPU is clocked at 1350 MHz and can boost up to 1635 MHz. Two 8-pin power connectors are needed for its 260 W TDP.

The RTX 2080 costs $300 less at $799 USD (MSRP), but with a lot less CUDA cores at 2944. It is still 15% more than the GTX 1080. The base clock speed is at 1515 MHz and boost clock at 1635 MHz. The 8 GB of memory is upgraded to GDDR6 on the same 256-bit bus. It has a TDP of 225 W.

The RTX 2070 is priced at $599 USD (MSRP). It has 2304 CUDA cores (20% more than GTX 1070) and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. It is clocked at 1410 MHz and can boost up to 1710 MHz. The card’s TDP is 175 W.

Non-Founders Edition cards from other manufacturers will be a little bit cheaper. RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 will be priced starting from $999 USD, $699 USD and $499 USD respectively. The RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 can be pre-order today and will start shipping on 20 September, while RTX 2070 will be available in October.
