After spending over 4 years of development, Noctua finally released their latest next-generation A series 120 mm cooling fans. The NF-A12x25 fans have some major improvements over the NF-F12 and NF-S12A, thanks to the more advanced material, construction and aerodynamic design.
According to Noctua, the NF-A12x25 is an all-purpose fan, that can satisfy the need for either maximum airflow for case ventilation or maximum static pressure for cooler’s heatsink and radiator. To achieve better performance from the already outstanding NF-F12, Noctua has to manufacture the fan frame with a new type of compound, called Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer (LCP). This material can provide increased tensile strength and stability.
Moreover, the NF-A12x25 features a record-breaking tip clearance of only 0.5 mm instead of the usual 1 mm (distance between the blade tips and the inside of the frame), which would improve the fan’s efficiency and performance when pushing air through the heatsink and radiator.

The NF-A12x25 comes in three versions, including the PWM (4-pin), FLX (3-pin) and ULN (Ultra-Low-Noise) models. The NF-A12x25 will become the new top-of-the-line, flagship model in Noctua’s own 120 mm fan lineup. The original NF-P12 will be moved to the affordable redux line. An additional NA-SFMA1 adaptor is also introduced to allow 120 mm fan to install on 140 mm radiator.
All versions of the NF-A12x25 is priced at $29.90 USD (MSRP), NF-P12 redux at $13.90 USD (MSRP) and the NA-SFMA1 at $11.90 USD (MSRP).
