About a year ago (June 2017), HTC released their U11 flagship smartphone. The latest leak suggested that a new HTC phone, codenamed Imagine, may be launching in April 2018. The phone is most likely to be the HTC U12.
According to a Android ROM developer (@LlabTooFeR) and confirmed by famous leaker (@evleaks), the HTC U12 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with up to 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The display will be at 5.99-inch and in QHD+ resolution (probably in 18:9 aspect ratio). No information about what display type HTC will be using, OLED or LCD.
For cameras, the U12 will have dual back cameras, one in 12 mega-pixel and one in 16 mega-pixel. Both lenses will be using Sony’s IMX3xx series image sensor. The front-facing camera will shoot in 8 mega-pixel.
The U12 will also have a 3420 mAh battery, an IP68 water and dust resistant rating. It will be released in Android 8.0 with HTC Sense 10 software on top. A face unlock feature may be included, as well as the updated squeeze gesture, Edge Sense 2.0.
