Soon after the launch of the iPhone X in September 2017, there were already rumors about Apple bringing the full-screen bezel-less screen to two more models of iPhone. One is essentially a plus version of the current iPhone X, but with a larger 6.5-inch OLED display. The other one is a slightly more budget-friendly iPhone with a 6.1-inch LCD display. Now, there is a photo appeared on the Internet, claiming to be the iPhone X Plus’s display assembly.
We have no ways to confirm the authenticity of the leaked photo. According to the original poster on the forum, that iPhone’s component is from the test run of the production equipments at LG’s factories in Vietnam. LG is rumoured to be one of the OLED display suppliers for future Apple iPhones, while Samsung is currently the exclusive supplier.
In the photo, the screen appears to be much wider and taller than a 5.8-inch iPhone X, comparing to the person’s hand. If it is real, that would most likely be the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus. At the bottom of the display, there are some ribbon cables/connectors with tiny text/model numbers printed on top.
