Bluetooth wireless earphones have become increasingly popular, due to the trend for smartphone manufacturers to remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Shure, a reputable audio equipment maker in USA, released their first-ever Bluetooth earphones lineup and accessories on 18 September. Pricing starts at $99 USD (MSRP).

For now, Shure announced two Bluetooth wireless earphone models and a detachable MMCX cable. The SE112 is the model that comes with a fixed cable and only in black color. Shure claims that the SE112 has the perfect balance between price and performance.

SE112: Vivid sound with deep bass, the freedom of wireless, and the simplicity of Bluetooth. SE215: Rich, detailed sound with enhanced bass, the freedom of wireless, and the simplicity of Bluetooth.
The SE215 is technically the wired SE215 with the Bluetooth accessory cable. It comes with 4 different colors (translucent black, clear, translucent blue and white). Also, that detachable cable is available for purchase. The cable has MMCX connectors in both ends to connect with the earphones’ units, that is compatible with existing wired earphones models (SE215, SE315, SE425, SE535 and SE846).
Both models use Bluetooth 4.1 as the transmission standard, that the earphones can be connected with two devices simultaneously. According to Shure, their sound isolating design can block up to 37 dB of outside noise. They can deliver up to 8 hours of music in a single charge, while having a maximum range of around 30 feet. The cable provides a three-button remote for controlling volume and playback, as well as an integrated microphone for phone calls.
The Shure SE112, SE215 and the accessory cable are available immediately on online stores and selective retailers.
